The Student Counseling service attends to applicants, current students and graduates.
Career counseling services are freely available for potential students. Many applicants are always having some doubts about what programme they should pursue. They are given advice on career opportunities to help them make informed choices prior to starting school.
Current students have access to the Academic Advising service. This service is provided to students throughout the course of their studies. This helps the students to manage academic challenges that could affect their success.
Graduate advising is meant to provide some support and guidance as the students begin the transition from the academic to the work environment. This helps them to best position themselves for job opportunities or for starting their own businesses.
Career development is at the core of VTI-CN. These service helps learners develop career plans, find jobs or internship opportunities, write CVs and résumé, job application and cover letters, interviewing skills etc. These services help students to enter the work environment from a position of strength.
VTI-CN has a great learning support system for learners. These include revision units which provide tutoring for learners who need help with their studies, financial assistance counseling for students struggling with their fees. This unit also provides support to international students and students with disabilities. Another service provided is technology support to help learners who are struggling with the modern technologies in the classroom and labs
